Last friday, Be Good Be Social was organised in Amsterdam for the first time. Be Good Be Social brings together third sector professionals interested in social media for social good. The events are a chance to learn, debate and connect with others working for non-profits, charities and social enterprises.
Hosted at Knowmads Amsterdam, a school for young entrepreneurs, 40 to 50 people met and had a great day with presentations and discussions on a range of topics, such as: letting go of your brand, using twitter as Dr.Phil would, social media campaigns and the ins and outs of Google Grants.
Nehmi Klaassen, the organiser of BGBS Amsterdam, created a nice short summary of the event on Storify.
In my talk about ‘Open Data for Development’ we touched on copyright issues, the value of open data for development and how you can get started producing ánd using open data.
